Info: Set in the middle of summer when everything is hot, sweaty, steamy, claustrophobic. Everyone is restless. Mack [Hugo Race], is an antisocial young gangster/rock star, who plots a bank hold up. He is also in possession of an incriminating tape, sought after by both police and rival mobsters. His steamy liaison with Wendy [Santha Press], a rich kid jazz singer, interrupts his criminal activities.

'The User's Manual' [performing "Losing Your Head (Cooling My Soul)" and "Ruling Energy" @ the Punters Club in Fitzroy] are Hugo Race (Mack in the film) (vocals/guitar)/ Rowland S. Info: A darkly humorous search for love, meaning and bathroom solitude. Faithful to the cult novel by John Birmingham upon which it is based, the film follows Danny [Noah Taylor] through a series of shared housing experiences in a succession of cities on the east coast of Australia. Together these vignettes form a forceful, sometimes turbulent narrative that leaves the viewer entertained, exhausted and surprisingly reflective.

Soundtrack: Contains "The Passenger" [Iggy Pop] performed by Rowland S.Howard (vocals, guitar) with (likely) Brian Hooper (bass) and Mick Harvey (drums). She then discovers that drug users are being haunted by the ghosts of dead addicts. Soon she's being followed by her dead boyfriend Dax as well as other thirsty spirits.

Info: Katrina (Emily Barclay) is a 19-year-old single mum who's planning to get away with murder. Katrina lives in a world of petty crime, fast cars, manicures and blow-jobs. A master manipulator of men living at home with her failure of a father in suburban Golden Grove, Katrina will stop at nothing to get what she wants - even murder. The film is loosely based upon the notorious murders by Mark Valera, and later his sister Belinda van Krevel and her then-partner Keith Schreiber, of Frank Arkell and David O'Hearn, and Jack van Krevel, respectively.
